Here i will post links to some of my recordings.

Comments are welcomed and encouraged.

This is my first recording using one shure SM57 mic.

I want to get another mic, but to be honest, i think i got a half way decent sound using one(the drums themselves could have been tuned btter-i guess)

The drums are my primary instrument, with everything else i have been learning withith the last year or so.

a little about the song- i wrote it and recorded it in one day...it was going to be about unconditional love..but turned into a song about obsession

I apologize..


the guitar is out of tune, which makes the bass out of tune.. the drums are off time, which makes everything else off.. the vocals are off key.. the drum sound is the best thing, but it sounds like you added too much treble to them.. the song is decent..

nothing personal.. you posted a song, I listened and commented.. you seemed like the type who wanted it straight.. if you got better comments somewhere else, they either lied, or didn't know how to tell you what was wrong.. I have seen these websites where you have to say 3 nice things for every negative comment, and that is pointless.. You'll never get better that way..

I'm no pro, definitely not a troll.. just someone who told you the truth.. fix it up and I'll listen again.. stick around!

Sam's got it right, man. Guitar is badly out of tune... Drums are out of time... cymbals way too loud. Singing out of tune... bass is out of tune. Dude, is this a joke? If not, you need to buy a tuner... seriously.

On the positive side? Hmm... nice mood. Drums sound well recorded (except for the cymbals)

But man... this sounds like a joke dude. No offense. You're not getting trolled. This is a good place to learn recording. Stick around and learn some techniques... unless you don't care about the quality of your recordings.

C'mon Bob
Give this a SERIOUS listen and compare it to Anything else on this board. If you are being honest you will hear what the people have told you.

That said.......
If you want to learn how to make your music into a decent sounding mix, then this is the place to hang and do a TON of reading! Sometimes hearing this isn't a boost to your ego but everyone starts out somewhere.

If you want to forget what they say and "Keep your stuff to yourself", you can do that without a problem!
But you'll never learn how to record your stuff above the quality of

"This sounds like ASS"

Hang around and ask a question or 2.
You can start by telling us the equipment or software (ALL of it) that you used to create this tune and we can start from there.

If you can't tell if the guitar is in tune or not than find someone who can show you (Seriously!)
You CAN work wonders from your home but it takes time to learn first. (And sometimes a piece of gear or 2)

Can sam do better?LMAO!he can smoke your ass as far as recording goes.YOU are coming off as a troll....are you only interested in positive comments?If so you need to stick with letting your close friends listen to your shit.

Two tips:

1. Don't wear dark or patterned underwear with white pants.
2. Don't come into any forum with no posts and act like an ass. I ain't gonna work.

These guys know what they are talking about (me being new here) so you would do well to shut up and listen.
