Recording with Roland Fantom X6

I am considering buying a Roland Fantom X6 to record with but I have a couple of questions. I record with Reaper and use midi's a lot to keep it clean. Is there anyway that I can record with this keyboard in midi format and keep the sounds, so that I can edit it easy and keep it clean? Thanks!
 
Also, would it be better to go that route, or just get a midi controller and some type of module?
