recording with monitors on

i only record with monitors on in a situation when i am running a direct line in from say a bass amp or steel guitar line out from their persnal rig... on occassion using an xlr direst bix or xlr out from certain guitar amps.. but to mic in same room with monitors on to be is a mess waiting to happen and a bledd through you cannot remove... just my opinon
