recording whistle?

I want a whistle solo that is just a variation on the melody in one of my songs. My friend is a good whistler and is coming by tomorrow night. We're going to double or tripple track it, think of Monty Python's "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life." I've got a pair of Oktava Mk012s, an AKG C1000 (hardly used anymore), a Pacific Pro Audio LDC (pretty cheap), and an SM57. Any suggestions for which mic and also placement? The room I'm in is pretty dead and it will go into a DMP3. Thanks a lot for any help you can offer.
