Hello.. I just wanna ask how you guys record all your tracks.. How many tracks do you usually record for the verses and chorus as rap.. And for R&B chorus, how many tracks do you guys usually record..
What I do is.. I record 4 seperate tracks for the verses (rap)
1 = lead
2 = left channel
3 = right channel
4 = partial dubs

I just wanna know if this is right..
About the mixing, how do you put delay or reverb effects for the partial dub, synchronizing with the bpm of the beat..
Can you guys suggest a mixing technique regarding to hiphop/r&b music?

We don't know what gear you're using. But, your question borders on ambiguity because it [the product you want in sound] all depends on the talent, recording gear, mixing knowledge, and practice, practice, practice.

Or, do what the Bear says: Just push up all the faders to the max and record.

Green Hornet:D :p :cool:

Does it sound good to you?

I usually only double during choruses, but whatever works. Listen to make sure you're not losing articulation, or muddying up the mix. Maybe roll off some low end on your panned vox.

No reverb, just delay.

Merciless compression.
