Recording two tracks at a time in Reaper

I'm going full circle now. I stopped using the Focusrite 4i4 at the time, and used just the Behringer Q1204USB mixer to connect to the laptop. But Reaper has been crashing a lot, and it has been rock-solid stable for many iterations, so I don't suspect a bug. I'm now going to include the Focusrite again, because the Focusrite ASIO driver proved in the past to be very stable. I suspect the mixer and the ASIO4ALL driver aren't playing well together. I will post again with my results.

I would say, Reaper might be causing it, but not the problem. Something in the sound hardware is the culprit, and Reaper is exposing it. I just have such high regards for Reaper and their coding/testing skills. Focusrite is rock solid as well. So the switch of the interface might be your stability ticket.

Thanks for the reply. Everything is working perfectly so far, but I have to record a few tracks of the different instruments to make sure.
