Im trying to figure out what I would need to record 2 drum kits, one bass, and one guitar to my computer simutaneously (ie. my band).
Is this feasible? I figure I would use 3 mic's on each drum kit, and one or two mic's on the guitar and bass.

I'm wondering about: software? (does CEP/Sounforge/Cakewalk record more than one track at the same time?) CPU? RAM? Soundcard? Mixer?

Maybe you should hook up with Emeric, a long time member of this site. He lives in your city and produces some excellent recordings.
