How do I connect my Yamaha MD4s to my computer to record onto my computer and can the recorded tracks be converted to real audio? How do I do this. I have Cool Edit and Real Producer.

A couple of diferent things. You can send a stereo mix to your sound cards line input and record it into CEP or you can record you individual tracks (analog transfer) and then line them up in CEP and mix in the computer.
I'm assuming you have a decent sound card (I hope it's not a soundblaster).

I have a Yamaha type soundcard (Don't realyy know, it came with the computer an old 486). I have cool edit 96. I also have a early version of cakewalk Express 6.So I set everything up push record on my CE and it should record. Then encode them in the real producer?.Is this correct?
