Hi everyone....I recently recorded a song in 5/8 and my vocalist is having a hard time with that tempo, until she heard the click? How can I record the internal click on SX 2 to a track or through a mixdown? Thanks! :D

Do you need to record it? Just enable it while tracking her vocals.

Ok took alittle testing cause I just got this program myself.

But to answer your question here goes.

Open up a project in audio mode.

1. Target your sample or wave or what ever it is =)

2. Click on "Transport" and you should see (metronome on/off)
the hot key is "c" turns the "click" noise on or off.

3. to controll the tempo, go to "Project" then "tempo track"

Thats what I see and thats what works for me.

No need to record anything. Just dont run it on MIDI, start your project as "24 track audio" or start a new project "empty" and add an audio track.

Its not hard just have to learn where stuff is. :)

Hope that helped, cause I read your post this morning. And I was wondering the same thing, till I played with it alittle more.

Thanks....but let me be clear!

Thanks Zul, but I guess what I am asking....is I know how to do metronome setup and how to use tempos(fixed, etc) and tempo maps, but say I did a rough mix of guitar and bass...no drums and did an audio mixdown so I could burn it to disc....when doing a mixdown, the click won't be there on the wave to burn....How do I enable it to be along with the mixdown? I hope that is a bit better of an explanation? Thanks again everyone! I appreciate it! Lorde

If you have windows running, click on the little speaker on the tool bar in the lower right hand corner then click on options then properties and choose recording. If you have a SB you can check What U Hear and record a track of the click. If not you may have something similar or if that doesn't work you could just mic a speaker and record a track of the click.

Just route the outs back in and press record. Mute whatever tracks are there, and just record the click.

Thanks

I knew it was something about recording a track. Thanks Blind Cowboy! Worked perfect.....What you do is this:
1) Get into the VST connections....add a bus with stereo....mixer in
2) arm an audio track with this connection
3) under the mixer...hit the button "Replace inserts with click"
4) record track....
5) do an audio mixdown while muting all tracks but the mix track.

That is how to mixdown a song with the click included.....Thanks Blind Cowboy....you da bomb! haha Lorde :D
