Hi. I'm trying to record audio from the Internet (from YouTube, a video for which I voiced the ... voice.) I'm using ProTools 9 as my DAW, on an iMac.

Does this somehow involve the microphone port on the computer? Another friend mentioned as such.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

What I would do is download the YouTube video (try keeptube.com), then strip the audio from it.

You could import the downloaded YT file into some kind of video editing software in order to strip the audio from it, I'm sure.
