recording stereo tracks in GT 2

I'm using Guitar Tracks 2 and trying to record to the line in jack on my ESS Allego WDM soundcard. However when I arm the track and record in stereo I only get the track coming through the left channel. When I pan to the right there's no sound at all. Do I need a special adapter to record in stereo? I have the standard 1/4" to 1/8" adapter that came with the program. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What are you recording from? Is the source stereo? If so, is all your cabling stereo?

From your description your are recording in mono, which means either your source is mono, or one of your cables and/or adapters are mono.
