Recording Software for MACS?

Hey guys,
What would be the best software to purchase (price is a huge consideration) for a G4 with a delta 1010lt. We want to be able to record up to eight simultaneous audio (not midi) tracks, and I have seen some of the great recommendations for Windows, such as N-Track and multitrackstudio .. home studio 2004, etc. At any rate, I would be much obliged if you gentlemen and/or ladies could give me some help.

Anything cheaper?? we may as well get protools for that much..
 
Mackie's Tracktion is quite cheap, and I use it on both Mac and PC.
