Recording Software for Firewire 1814.

I'm wondering what is the best recording software for the Firewire 1814 for Mac. Money really isn't too much of an issue, but all I'm really going to need to do is record vocals and add filters. I don't want to use Logic, either, so that's already off the list. Are there any others out there that work well?

My personal opinion is, outside of Pro Tools, Logic is the best for audio. On the MIDI side for mac, DP4 is the best, and not too shabby for audio either. I'm not a big fan of Cubase, despite being an able user and still current owner.
