Recording slow down when transfering files

I record on my laptop, using Cubase SX 1.0. Once the recording session is over, I transfer the files to a desktop that I use for editing. I just mounted a brand new 80 gigs HD to store my files.

When I am done transfering the files on the new HD and lauch Cubase, it seems like the recording has slowed down (to 90% approximately). I do not have that problem if I transfer to the old HD.

The same problem occurs when I edit the songs on my laptop but using a different user than the one I recorded on.

Any idea?

Check to make sure your sample rate settings match (if you tracked at 48k, make sure that the software is the same and not 44.1).
