In alot of proffesional recordings if you lisyen closely you can hear two of the same instrument.....say vocals. It sounds like they are playing the same exact thing two times but one side(left or right) a few millaseconds delayed to give it depth. The same on vocals. How is this done. Ive tried duplicating a track and then scooching it over a few millaseconds but it never turns our the same(phase problems). You hear it alot in rap vocls. If you know what I'm talking about and you know how this is achieved please clue me in.Thanx

actualy play an record the sam thing twice. Duplicating the track will give you that cheesy phaser sound.

It's the DIFFERENCES in each take that make a double tracked vocal, guitar (insert instrument here) sound interesting

Play around with it
