Recording S/PDIF signal

Hi, i have CubaseVST5 and an Audiophile 24/96 pc set up. I am recording a S/PDIF signal from a behringer v-amp pro into cubase. I have recorded the signal ok, but when i play back what i just recorded i get no sound. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

If you can see the signal was recorded in the track, then it sounds like a monitering problem...are you able to hear other audio fine?
