This is driving me crazy. Im going from the outs on my dj mixer to the audio ins on the back of my AudioPhile 24/96 in an attempt to record a dj set into Soundforge. The volume of the resulting recording is always low. Ive tried countless adjustments and obviously have made sure all my levels are at 0db throughout the mix. No matter what I do the levels are always way down. I record it as a .wav and then convert to an MP3 at 192 kbps. Does anyone know what the problem may be? Ive also adjusted sample rates and whatnot. This has been going on for weeks. Baffling.

If you open the cards monitor mixer from the taskbar, what levels are you seeing on the analog-in 1&2 meters? Is SoundForge set to record from the analog 1&2 or the monitor mixer (5&6)?

In the soundforge recording dialogue box I have the AP multichannel selected. The levels on the H/W in 1/2 in the mixer are approaching 0db but are peaking out at around -3. ??

Doesn't Soundforge give you the option of the cards seperate inputs? The analog inputs are 'Delta AP 1/2'. I've never figured out or seen explained what the Multi input actually is - I suspect it's provided for software that can only see one input, in which case I'm guessing Multi is the monitor mixer.
So, to record, you need to unmute the input in the mixer and have the faders turned up both for the input and the master output. You have plenty of level on the meter so audio is getting into the card.
Even so, check Soundforge menus for somewhere you can select the recording device and pick AP 1/2 if you can.
