Hi,
I'm having a problem recording my electric guitar onto my Powerbook. I'm using Cubasis to record and hooking up my amplifier's line out to the sound in on my computer, but for some reason, the sound is barely coming through on the mixer, even when the amp is turned up (I can only turn it up SO loud, as I live in a little apartment and must be nice to my neighbors.
Is there something I'm missing?
Any input ould be greatly appreciated...
Thanks,
-G

are you miking the guitar cab or plugging the guitar line directly into the sound input?

If you are plugging in direct it wont work. Something about the signal types. Technically I dont knwo what its called but I know you will need a 'DI' or 'direct box' to convert the signal into something your PC sound input can use. This is also the case if you plug directly into a mixing board usually. So go to guitar center and ask for a direct box.

hope that helps.
