Recording/playback speed??

Sorry for not searching for a past thread on this, but I'm at work... you know.

Was mixing down from my Vs-1880 and no matter (it seems) what type of sync, or no sync at all, the recording sounds like chipmunks! I know this happened to me once before and I figured it out, but I got stuck again.

Anybody? Your tip is appreciated! Be well.

I forget which way this works,but if you record at one bitrate and play back at another,the pitch and speed will go up or down.Using windows explorer,set view to details and examine the .wav in question.You should be able to see the bitrate then compare that to the properties setting in n-track to make sure they match up.
