I DIG it man. This is a smoking pop/rock tune with some smooth vocal work.Guitars sound nice and spread out.The drums sound pretty good.I can barely hear the kick drum. The high hat sounds louder than the snare and they seem to be clashing....panning the high hat off to the side away from the snare might take care of that problem......the snare needs to have more of a pop to it.It's hung in there with the high-hight stuff right now.......the overall mix sounds a little muddy........the vocals need to come up just a tad..

I like it.

Hey thanks for checking it out kramer

the mix doesn't sound muddy on cd it actually sounds pretty clear. I agree with the vocals needing to come up though
im thinking about re-recording the vocals with a differnt mic

thanks again

This is what I used to record this track:

Alesis 3630 compressor

28 veiws and only 3 replys!
starting to get discouraged here haha

No it doesn't suck. It just takes awhile for someone to establish themselves around here. Offer your opinions on other's songs and you'll notice you'll get a bunch of help in return. You'll get more on this as well, it just takes some time.

Good pop sound on this. Real catchy. Performances real good all around. I liked the music quite a bit. Real good sound on the rhythm guit. They sounded doubled, right? I liked the drums too.

Where did the harmonies go? There was one spot at the begining that sounded great. Then nothing more. Put more in I'd say.

The overall level of the mix is REAL quiet. You have more headroom to work with. The vocals are a little back in the mix. I'd bring them up a bit.

Some plosives here and there (e.g., :11 and 1:27). Needs a lead guit in the middle break.

Lyrically a little repetitive and uses some "well worn" ideas.

Good job overall though. I liked it.

thanks triple m

ya, I agree it does need more harmonies, but I stoped recording
the vocals till I could borrow my freinds studio mic cause I
didn't like the sound of the one I was using. Im also gong to add
a guitar solo or somthing in that instrumental break also, just havn't got around to doing it yet it's far from finished.

thanks for listening, greatly appreciated.

Kramer has already spoken about the prime issues, so you gots a guide to work with. Individually each track sounds good. They are all played tight and tasteful. You did a very good job of capturing the instruments and voices, assigning them their space and eq is where you tie your hair up with a twistie and pop your knuckles and go to work some more. I`d track everything a little hotter like MMM said. Good job :)

HEY!!

Thanks for listening. After listning to this again a couple of times
I realized it does need a little work, I m thinking of re-recording
the whole thing. Hopfully it will sound better the next time.

thanx

I like this a lot. Vocals sung thru a diffrent/better mic might open this thing wide open..music/insterments i thought were kickin ass pretty good. Your vocal style is great man.

I like the song, it's got a good feel to it, and i think the guitar tone's really good as well. Your singing (or whoever's it is :) ) is great, and it suits the song well.

The level's do seem a bit low though, i dont know if that was a mastering problem or if you didn't record with enough gain - try recording hotter as someone already said :)

cool

hey!!

Thanks for the complements. Im kinda new at the recording
thing so I dont really know how to get it loud. The left & right
meters on my recorder is right at digital 0 but it's still never loud enough. any suggestions?

Love the tune, great stuff!

I noticed right away that the guitar on the left channel was a bit to distant in the mix. The right channel guitar was dominant, definatly clearer. Maybe the left just needs a bit more upper mids? Just brighten it a bit.

A bit more presence in the kick would be nice to give it more snap.

just my opinion, over all great stuff :)
