Can that thing go directly into the computer?

HI Sorry for the jargon!!
It can if you have an RME Digi soundcard with TOS links ( Black small light pipes)
This allows my Fostex vf160 8 track to dump 8 chanels at a time into Sonar.
Most of the time I use one or 2 tracks at most.
Sounds nice though.
