My band is due to record soon, and we're doing it ourselves. I was wondering what the best way (i.e. highest quality, best-sounding) to record a keyboard would be. We'll be using a Yamaha Motif XS8 as the keyboard in question, and the recording rig is a MOTU 8pre slaved to a MOTU 828MKII into a PC running Cubase SX3

I would simply connect the main stereo outs of the Yamaha to the MOTU 828 using balanced TRS cables.
