I have just uploaded a new song to my myspace - it's from my album that has taken a lot longer than it should have, and so I'm very curious to know what people think of it.

I like the song, reminds me of older Midlake. The main vocal is a bit sibilancy, if that's a word, and I'd bring it up a tad in the mix, but those S's and T's really stick out. Just my 2 cents. I like your stuff though, keep it up

If you really want people to evaluate a mix you should upload it something better then Myspace. They encode at like 96kbs.

ok

Thanks for listening. Perhaps you're right about the sibilance, but I don't really think it's a problem - it's usually something that really bothers me, but in this case it doesn't. What do you recommend other than myspace?

Michael - cool songs - the sib isn't an issue for me it suits the song. My space is the pits sonically, get a matching site on Soundclick as well as lightning.

ok

I will check out those sites. Any other opinions on the mixes/compositions?

I only listened to one song (Heaven Themed Parties) but it was good, kind of reminded me of Beirut.

ok

OH MY GOD! It's not a bad thing, but seriously, everyone keeps comparing me to him. I listened to his stuff once and I can see why - but it's a really weird thing because I thought he was relatively obscure! Strange.

I love the song - not too many comments on the mix - I think I heard clipping a little at 2:55, but that could be my failing ears. I heard cats before that, but not cows. Could have been cows.

.

It's quite heavily compressed but no clipping. Maybe just cos it's a weirdly encoded MP3.
