i just recently began recording w/ my computer and cakewalk home studio and was looking for some feedback. I record cover songs cause i'm not much of a writer. Go to http://www.lasalle.edu/~rotondj1/mp3's.html and click on "the stone". I only use guitar and vocals, but at least be honest about the sound. thanks

TOO SHORT

That's my only complaint...not enough of it. That's a monster guitar part, and I gave up trying to learn it after about 5 minutes. You're playing a classical git, right?

Maybe the vox are mixed a tad too loud, maybe not...but you can sing, so they sound great.

FINISH IT JUST LIKE THIS!!!

very nice guitar playing and vox. but i agree with chris the only complaint i have is i wanna here the whole song, finish it and you will definately have somthing. thanks for sharing tim pate

the song is finished, i just dont have enough webspace on my school account to post the whole thing. I definetly agree that the vox are too loud as well. or perhaps the guitar is too low. i'll mess around with it.

chrisharris, as far as playing the song goes, i'm using an ovation acoustic electric. not a classical. the song is actually quite easy to play once you get it down. i found that the tab in the official "before these crowded streets" book is incorrect, as well as many on the internet. i had to watch video's of dave playing it to figure it out. then i found this site:
http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Thebes/4044/
it has the most accurate transcriptions of the stone and many others.

thanks for the feedback.

yo red!!!

same complaint.i want the whole thing!!!!!!!!!!! what you have posted here sound's great!!!!!!!!!

peace
