My band is purchasing a behringer europower pmx3000 poweramp/mixer which has rca outs for a dat recorder.


Here's the question: What do I need to connect the rca out to a laptop, so we can record?

Is there a rca to usb connector?

I would like the most cost efficient solution?

Echo Indigo and one of these cables.

I do have a 1/8 line in already in the laptop.
Do I still need the ECho Indigo?

No .... You can use the internal soundcard of the laptop, provided it is in fact a stereo line level input as opposed to a piss-poor pre-amped Mic input.
The Indigo, however, is a quality 24 bit soundcard should you ever decide that the laptops built in audio isn't up to par with your requirements.
