hi there!
here´s the problem:
when i record, some parts of the audio repete themselves (1/4 second). I can´t explain this correctly because i can´t find any issue on this!!!
when i was using win98 whit cooledit pro that didn´t happen and i had a amd k6 II with only 64 ram using an hercules muse xl, now i have a PIV whit winXP, 512ram and using samplitude 7 and it happens whit all audio programs.
I tryed to increse buffers, decrese them, i tryed everything!!!!
could you please help me whit this?

one love;

Pedro

Do the repeated parts have the same volume or are they faded?

Don't know the programs you're using, but this repetition is called latency. Try to find it in your card mixer and in the recording software, and make it lower.

No - latency has nothing at all to do with repitiion... latency is a delay between the time you say, sound a note, and the time you hear it.

oh, sorry for mixing that up.

I had a similar problem with Sonar and a SB Live! once, and it was because I was because the input monitor thing was turned on. Don't know if there's such an option on your setup, though.

my comp did that with protools...it was like it was recording on top of its self....possibly in your pc mixer go to the recording section and select microphone or line in (which ever you use) instead of mono mix or stereo mix....i think that solved my problem

hi there again!
No the sound does not fade, it just repetes itself!
I know that the ins have nothing to do whit it.
Could it be from the driver´s or from windows xp?
it happens with all programs....
when i´m recording the only i only turn on the line!
