Maybe that's why he hasn't come back?
OP's often don't come back once they've read a few answers. A few people already answered the OP in the first few pages.

In short, WTF'n'F are we talking about here? Depending on whether I'm logged in or not it's either 3 or 10 pages of Greg (and I, I guess) arguing against RAMI and miro. Par for the course around this place, I suppose...
You're totally off with that assumption and 100% wrong. I'm not "arguing" or even disagreeing with anyone. And I don't think me and Greg have ever "argued" and almost never even disagree, so it's not par, and you're on the wrong course. :D

But the fact that threads go off topic sometimes bothers you so much is hilarious. It's not the first (or second time) you come back into a thread bent all out of shape that we're not addressing the OP, the whole OP, and nothing but the OP. Like I said, many people gave the OP their opinions based on the limited amount of info that the OP gave.

Since then, thread branched off into other related topics. Greg and I had a few laughs along the way, while discussing a million things including Alan Parsons and Pink Floyd, of all things. Happens all the time. Big deal.

Forget the OP. He got his responses.

You know what's funny, after that last beatles beatdown I laid on this place, I went and listened to a bunch of beatles stuff just to see if I was wrong. I wasn't, but I will say that I do really like their bubble-gummy boy-band early stuff much better than their trippy-hippie late stuff. I guess it all went to shit for me around sgt peppers. Before that, it's listenable for me. Tomorrow may rain, but I'll halfway follow the sun up to sgt peppers.

Yeah, they started getting a little trippy on the album before Pepper, but I know what you're saying.

...and that's the longest conversation I'll ever allow myself to have with you about the Beatles. I respect that you don't like them and stay out of other conversations where people are trying to convince you to like them.

Maybe I listened out of order. But yeah, their "She loves You yeah yeah....woooooooooooooooo" stuff is okay to me. It's light and sterile and I like their twangy guitar sounds and harmonies. And I've always freely admitted that "I Saw Her Standing There" is my #1 favorite Beatles song. It sounds very American to me.

I'm not bent out of shape. Just find it amusing. There is some room in the OP for some interesting discussion on create alternatives or options to try. I don't honestly feel like we went as far into those options as we might have, and I sort of feel like it might have been me who came and derailed the whole thing.

I can think of a whole bunch of ways to stereoize the recording, if it was necessary. My first suggestion (double tracking with the mono reverb) was mentioned somewhere else along the way.

But now we're talking about the Beatles. I think I'm too young to really get them. I suppose back in the day when nobody had heard anything like it, they were probably pretty cool. Now that it's all been done and redone and imitated and regurgitated and overplayed for so long, they have lost most of their relevance.

It's all good man. You didn't derail anything. I usually like reading your stuff. You always have great insight and have a good way with words when explaining something.

I disagree with you about the Beatles, but hey, that ain't going to change the price of eggs in Russia, so it doesn't really matter. :D

Duno what their currency is, but rest assured the price did not change....I repeat...
The price of eggs in Russia has remained the same throughout this thread.

Don't you mean "How much are eggs back in the USSR?"

Yeah, even I didn't think that was funny. Trying to think of a Yakov joke: "In Soviet Russia something something something..."

I dozen eggs is 50 Russian Rubles.

That's $1.55 American bucks

.96 limey Pounds

1.14 euro

1.60 Canadian (for Rami)
