Hey I've been doing a lot of recording with my computer. Right now what I do is use a Jstation, and record 2 guitar tracks each using a different amp model. Well, Its not really cutting it so what I'm doing now is building an isolation box for my amp. I'm planning to record using 4 sm57 mics. I have a bogner ubershall cab so theres 2 types of speakers in it so, I'm going to use 2 mics on each type of speaker. I have a delta audiophile soundcard and since it only has 2 rca inputs on it I'm planning to get a mixer to do the recording. What kind of mixer could or should I use that have good mic preamps on it. And is there a more effective way of doing this thats still falls within a tight budget?
