I've been recording direct for years in my project studio but never found it comfortable & don't play my best. Hard to pay attention to playing & recording both at the same time. I do loop recording mostly. Any tips for making the process easier? Thanks.

What exactly is your problem? I only record direct guitars as I don't have a mic to record through a cab, and I the loudness factor. If part of it is how tight your tracks are you could record multiple takes and then use the best takes from each for one solid guitar take.

I'm maybe a little slow putting this together- recording direct / comfort' / playing you best because.. missing the sound of the amp (speaker, 'in the room'? 'Hard to pay attention to playing & recording both at the same time' , yeah. :)
Not sure how, where 'loop recording fits in to this and maybe expand a little more on what's really going on.

Recording: hit the red button to start, hit the stop button to stop. Nothing difficult about that part - allow some silence (or count-in time with a metronome/drum track) before the start of the track so that you can get pick in hand, etc.

OK thanks...i don't think I can explain any better. I think part of it is cramped space - close enough to the computer to control it & feeling cramped while trying to play. I'll work on it.
