Recording guitar and drum machine

I have a zoom rt323, Les Paul, and Strat.

Peavey studio pro with preamp in back.

Boss ds1, FLANGER, delay.

Korg D1200MK II mixer.


If I want to record DI. Can I just use my amp's preamp to the mixer. Or, do I need a POD or something like it?

You could use the D1200's guitar input, press the "modelling" button, dial a tone, press "record" and knock yourself out....
The Korg actually has some pretty decent amp-modelling, but a POD or V-Amp would probably be better... depending on what style you're playing...
