recording gospel group

Do most gospel groups record together or do the record seperately on indvidual tracks? I only have have a porta 02 recorder so you can see the problem? Ole Dave
 
The Porta2 will dictate your method not the standard practice.

BTW- I'm sure there is no standard practice it would depend on the group and the type of sound you are after.
