hi..relatively new to CEP and after searching the help files my problem still occurs..can anyone advise...
1. Running a stereo phono output from a master output on an Amp or 5 channel mixer into a 3.5mm jack 'line in' on a PC (realtek ac97 sound device/card).
2. Running CEP 1.2 on the PC to record the input from the amp/mixer.
3. Recording is started, sample rate 44100, stereo channel, 16 bit resolution....sound can be heard through the PC speakers and levels on CEP are ok.
PROBLEM : Recording seems successful however upon playback of the file recorded file on pc it exteremely quiet (almost silent) and the odd pop can be heard througth speakers.
After playing about and carrying out the exercise several times with the recording/input levels at verious settings the playback problem remains the same.
Upon playing CD's & DVD's on computer everything works fine soundwise. Copying cda tracks from CD's onto hard drive and running via CEP is fine to, this problem only exists upon recording inputs and playing them back.
Several friends are doing the same execise (with different hardware) as me without the problems i'm seeing.
Anyone experianced the same and oversome...any suggestions ???
cheers - Nick
