Probably a dumb question but I have a Casio keyboard and am planning on connecting the output to the sound card. I wanna record directly from the keyboard so what programs can I use to do this?
Since you are recording audio instead of MIDI any simple editor will work for you. Most of the people on this forum use high-end expensive software, so your best bet would probably be to go to download.com and type in "record edit audio." You'll get a list of a ton of programs so just give one a try.
I use Pyro 2004 to do this (I just looked and it is still available for $29 as a download at this link: http://store.yahoo.com/cakewalkdirect/py20do.html ). Also I have read here that some use the free program Audacity to record and edit audio files.
