I know this question must have been asked 100's of times but here goes:
I want to mic my guitar amp and record 1 track at a time to my PC. All fx etc. will be amp side so that doesn't matter. I also want to be able to play stuff CD's etc. while I record (to get the timing etc.)
I have a 700MHz AMD, 20Gb disk and 128Mb RAM so my system should be OK. I want to do all the mixing etc. software side to keep the cost down. What else do I need?
My amp is a stereo amp, will I need 2 mics to record in stereo? If so, how will they go into the line port on the sound card?
What mic/soundcard should I look at getting? I really don't wants to spend major ££'s but just something fairly decent.
