I want to record hip hop (vocals) as well as metal(guitar/drums). Here's what I have so far:
Digitech RP350
some XLR and 1/4 mics
a Roland Cube CM-30 monitor (has a bunch of inputs on the back)
I use a Toshiba Satellite L505 laptop to record
I use Audacity and LMMS for making beats
My main problem it seems is that when I record onto audacity, the sound is very quiet. So what I need is a preamp to fix that? Any suggestions?
Or do you think it might be best to get a multitrack recorder like the Zoom R8 or something? My main concerns are possible lag from the computer, and quiet recordings.
Thanks
