I'm trying to record drums using THE FIREPOD STUDIO PROJECT (CUSADE LE 4) 6 inputs. When I play back the mix the kick drum seems to overpower everything, Im sure its not mic placement becuase I did a series of different experiments and found out it has something to do with the inputs and outputs connections in the vst menu. Please help me, Im ready to pull my hair out. Thanks, Geoffrey

That's where I'd do it...set all your individual tracks, then pan them how you like...generally kick and snare in the center, toms around that, and your overheads and room mics to taste...and even the volumes up some. Then, maybe apply effects such as compression and eq, and re-adjust your volumes so you hear sort of what you want to hear. A lot of trial and error in the process. It takes some time, and several tries. I'm by no means an expert, but some people here have gotten great drum sounds, and have helped alot. You might need some compression on your kick and snare, so apply those before really settling on any volume levels as that will probably affect what you do.

Cool Thanks for your help I finally got it fingured out.
