Right now, I have a D112 and a Beta 52 for the kick...thus far, I've found the 52 catching more boom and the D112 catching more punch...thinking about trying to use both, but didn't know if I might run into phase problems...D112 inside and 52 on the outside...
On the snare, I'm double miking (top and bottom) with 57's, top miking 57's on the toms, as well (I'm poor in the mic dept!!!)
I'm using 2 Peavey 480s for overheads.
I've been messing with the kit all week, and for the most part, for dry sounds, I'm pretty pleased, but wanted to know if anyone has anything they would recommend...
Being a newbie here, I know I have alot to learn, but I've also learned alot already!
I'm running the signals through a Carvin C2444 mixer and then through the Layla 24 into my computer.
