Recording DJ sets

Hi!

What are the issues about recording a DJ set? What kind of stuff you people are most worried about?

And after the recording what can be done to make it sound a little better? Compression?

thanks!

The set shouldn't need post-production, that would ruin the thought of it being a live set, it's supposed to show off the DJs abilities. I find hooking my mixer up to a tape deck works great, and then connecting the tape deck to a compter. It would probably be better quality to hook the mixer straight to the computer using RCA adapters.

I agree with you that it´s not a good thing to alter the set so it lose the "personality". But I´m interested in doing the set sound better on a home stereo for example.

When you listen to a global underground CD you can feel the difference between it and a set you just recorded. So what are the tips for doing this kind of post-production?

Any ideas?
