With Homestudio 2002 and M audio delta 2496 I'm trying to send to TC electronics outboard compressor from digital out and record on new track from digital in. It works fine when converting to analog but wanted to try it without converting. I set Cakewalk tracks to digital out and created new track set for digital in and armed new track for recording. The compressor shows recieving good signal, M audio mixer- router seems to be set to send- recieve digital, but cakewalk will not show levels on armed track and will not record.
THANKS

I'm trying to convert from my situation- so this might be a little different- Sonar V-mian > Waves digi in, out, to a new track in Sonar. I'm sending the mix out, not a 'track' out directly (don't think you can). Maybe set a dedicated out-main just for that track.
Set the outboard unit's clock to digi-in, it should keep it in sync with your master clock that way.

Do you get a signal in your M Audio control panel? If not look in the "Hardware Settings" and see if you have correct sample rate checked in it and make sure you check the master clock to spdif in.
also make sure that the spdif in/out in your "Monitor mix" is not muted. When you get signal in the Delta Control Panel, then you reach for Home Studio and select "in" as Spdif Stereo. You'll automatically get the signal.

Jeyan, I checked the sample rete, master clock- spdif in-, monitor mix- unmuted-, new track in HS spdif in. Still nothing. I will check outputs on main, or maybe bounce to a mix and try from there which is what I think is what mixsit was saying.
Thanks for the help. I will post what I was doing wrong if i get it going.
