Yuo...it is for the "Killing You" song. I can not wait to record the bass track. SHould make the song sound a bit fuller. I will keep you updated.

I tried to listen to your music but I kept getting errors.

Well crap. At least one other person a problem too. If you don't mind, what kind of errors? What player do you use? The stats show 4 successful attempts yesterday which I assume was you. I guess that just means successful complete downloads

I wonder what THAT means.

Anyway, thanks. I'll try to fix it if I can figure it out.

When I click on the smaller play button or the largewr one they both have the same result:

a window pops uip and says:

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found."

- hope that helps

Well it does and it doesn't. I used to see error that when I was generating files at other than 16 bit and 44.1kHz. I thought I did it right this time. Apparently not. I'll try again. Thanks much!

I record bass direct into my DMP3 and get a pretty useable sound. However, I wish there was some bass amp sim software like there is for guitar(Amplitube, Simulanalog etc). I can never seem to find any. I'm not unhappy with the way my bass tracks sound but a sim plugin would be awesome and could potentially really add to them. :)

I like these free plugins

I dig the 2nd bass plugin for that compressed, slightly dirty metal-ish bass tone. Almost like a poor man's Ric. Their amp sims tend to be a little CPU intensive, I can't use their guitar amp sim at all on my system, but the bass sims are pretty cool.

Cool, thanks - I'll check them out. :)

I recreated the mp3. I'm not convinced it made a difference though. If you had trouble playing the sketch file, would you mind trying the new one, sketchb?

If you do have problems, what's the error text and what player are you using?

I'll second the SansAmp. They're not outstanding but they are pretty damn good for the price. They work as active or passive too, which is handy.
