Hello there, maybe someone can refresh my memory, but I'm using this plug-in called the Shepard. It's a whisteling emulator that was free and I figured I'd mess around with it and write some old western movie type songs (I can't whistle worth shit). Anyway, you can add the track nodes to control all of the parameters (I think there are 6 of them), but how do I arm them so I can control them with my MIDI controller?

Thanks!

I don't believe you have to arm the parameters like you would on some other systems...you just have to make sure you have created the envelope, and make sure you have assigned the controller to that parameter...It's been a while since i've done it, so I might have missed something.

I went home and messed with it for a while and still can't figure out how to assign the envelope to a know or slider, can anyone help? I can figure out how to assign the pan and volume parameters, but none of the envelope parameters for the VST plug-in. Seems kind of weird that you wouldn't be able to do that. Thanks!

i'll figure it out when I get home tonight...there's a shortcut key to assign a knob to a parameter, I just don't remember how to do it...also, i'm sure there is an option in one of the menu's somewhere

Thanks for the responses. I went to the Cakewalk forum and they helped me out. I guess you create a "widget" by hitting the little FX button and then parameters for the VST come up and you can assign knob controls and parameters. Thanks though!
