I'm using a digital video recorder handycam to record some audio.

I want to take this audio and listen to it as an mp3 (by converting after I get the audio from the video).

Will it be bad quality?

especially if i want to listen to myself reading a few pages of a book, record it using a DVR handycam, then burn the mp3 onto a cd?

Will there be any surprises, like super bad static or other high pitched sounds that could make it sound bad? As long as it would work universally, I'm fine. Doesn't have to be studio produced.

I do not have an audio recorder or microphone to use, that's why im trying to use the DVR

Well it won't be the greatest quality if you're using the built in mic on the cam.
