I don't have a mic and don't plan on spending much money. I found this-http://www.jhs.co.uk/jhspickups.html(the one at the top). Has anyone any expericence with recording an acoustic guitar with a pickup such as this and would I get decent results.

It would be used for recording solo acoustic tunes and acoustic/electric duets.

I cant say ive ever used one, but it looks to be an 'ok' piece of equipment to get you started recording your acoustic guitar. For £15.99 you cant expect a professional sound, but i think it wil definately do the job for you. I know a friend who used a pick up for his acoustic bass guitar and that sounded ok. What my friend found has was that it only picks up one part of the guitars sound, you cant move it around like a mic and get different sounds. For £15.99 though you cant go wrong really, and if thats all its going to cost to get you recording, i say go for it! :)

Good luck!

Looks sort of like a Bill Lawrence. If so, it won't sound much like an acoustic guitar bit it will get signal to go to a recorder if that's all you want.
