I am going to record a demo maybe next year but i like to kwon could record drum, guitar, maybe some horns like a tenor sax and trumpet and keyboards and me on drums and singing could i do all this with the tascam porta 02 portastudio i need help bad!!!!!!!!

unfortuantly that's a tall order, bud.

But yes, it could be done. The drums will sound pretty bad with only one track, but if your record them first and mix down to one track, it could happen. Hey - the beatles did it.

Why not spring for something a little bit better?

Seriously... for that end of the budget-scale, you're not going to get ANYTHING worth showing your friends... not to mention shopping the demo around!

With all due respect CJ, for that kind of money you're much better off to save a bit more and check out one of your local project recording facilities...

CJ,

As bvaleria said, $100 won't even get you a used cassette-based recorder. You'd be better off saving for a decent piece.

CJ, you said in your last post ("What are some good suff to do Digital Recording with i wont record my cd. and i need help.") that you were going to spend $2,000.00.

But, now you just want to spend $100.00?

That doesn't make sense.
