Is it possible to record 2 (or more) tracks at the same time with Audacity?

Thanks.

Ryan

Audacity is not a good multi-track recording choice.

Check out N-Track (very inexpensive) or Reaper.....

I would liken audacity to wavelab or wavosaur. Mostly used for single track/waveform editing rather than multitrack purposes. Miro's suggestions are good ones. I use reaper myself.

Yup, Audacity was a stereo editor and multitrack was tacked on.

Try out Reaper, its MUCH more capable and on standing with programs 10x the price....

Funnilly enough, no one has said 'no' to the question yet.

A stereo track is two simultaneous mono tracks. ;)

Come on dude... your thread 3 weeks ago ABOUT Reaper should have convinced you to get it if you didn't already have it.

Stop dicking around with Audacity and/or the helpful people in the forum...

Well geez...that seams a bit harsh...maybe funds are a bit tight or whatever, and he`s hoping he can get away with just using audacity for the time bieng etc...
it just seams like he`s doing as much research and learing as posible for now..

28 day free evaluation period...

And I'm a tough love kinda guy... ask anyone...:cursing::D

Maybe all the OP wants to do is record timbales and bagpipes. Together. :D

I gave up on Audacity quite quickly in favor of Reaper as well. Give it a go, it's free to try and really doesn't cost that much if you like it.
