Here's a song from a local cover band that I recorded so they could get gigs. It was recorded live in one take over 7 tracks. Here's the track order
1. Kick
2.Snare
3.O/H right
4.O/H left
5. Bass
6.Guitar
7.Vocals
The drummer hit his drums VERY HARD so I used the Glyn John's method using a 57 on the snare, a Behringer XM 8500 on the Kick and 2 CAD CM 217's for O/H and a crap load of compression, The Guitar Amp was mic'ed with a 57(Mesa Mark IV) Bass was direct using a virtual Ampeg through Line 6 Pod Farm, vocals were recorded using an AKG Perception 100 condenser. Recording was captured using a Line 6 UX 8 preamp/interface going into propellerhead record. Speakers used to mix were Technics SB 4500 A Linear Phase Speakers, Mix was Checked for translation using KRK Rokit 5's, Harmon Kardon computer speakers with Sub and a cheap set of samson headphones.
