disclaimer: You call me dumb and I`ll still show up for dinner... :)

I`ve burned cd's in mp3 and wav format. What is the format used for commercial cd's?
I`ve heard that its called CDA. Can i do this as well, and what are the size implications?
The reason I`m asking is that I have a friend that wants a copy of some of my stuff but his player won`t read mp3`s

Those CDA files you see are simply links to the audio files for the OS.

You need to burn an Audio disc as opposed to a Data disc. This should be a selectable setting in your s/w.........

you'd have to burn WAV files to CD using the 'create AUDIO' CD with any burning proggie.
When using the 'audio' option for a new CD to burn will handle the PQ coding that is used to make a CD work on a CD-player (table of contents, track lengths, pauses etc.)

thaz it.

cool, I thought they used a format that I dont have access to when making commercial cd`s. hehehe I`ve never been one to "RTFM" like I should.

Thanks guys! :)
