Record Playback On Sonar v7

Hi every one i am new here... and 17 years old... just got sonar 7 been playin about with it for a couple of days started to record today but hit a problem when i couldn't hear the track i am recording only the previously recorded tracks.. This is driving me mad because it means i can not get an idea of the sound i am recording
I am using Sonar 7 and and a brand new M audio Delta 1010lt

can anyone help me?!!!

Do you have input monitoring on?

I have had a look through the archive and found some useful tip and links, so I will probably post up some more newbie questions...
