recalling effects in control panel view

my question-
in sonar 2 XL, i record my song, add a few preset plug-in effects in the console view, save it and then close the project.
i re-open the project and open the console view and want to know what effects i used on a certain track, so i double click on the effect i added. the effect window pops up and all it shows me are the settings that were used, not the name of the preset i was using. the drop-down menu bar that once showed the name of the effect is empty. is there a setting i can change so i can see what the preset effects name was?

That's normal, and there's nothing you can do about it.

This is a DirectX issue. You'll have to talk to Microsoft.
