I am running Athlon 2000+ with 512 ram and 60 mb hard drive with 8 mb cache using Reason and N-tracks. I have a Mackie dfx6 mixer and Echo Mia soundcard that has no midi so I still had to leave my old soulndblaster card in so I use that for my midi input?!!
I am currently composing grooves on Reason and then transfering them over to N-tracks as wave file to add live recording. It is all a bit fiddly.There is no direct input into Reason for my live guitaring, so I can't do it all in the one hit. I like a lot of Reason's grooves etc. Is there any other way of getting around this?
On a different theme, just got a laptop for external vocal recording. Will the M-Audio Transit do the trick as a quick fix exteranl sound card, if I use a Mackie preamp if necessary.
